Client templates enable you to set up predefined client analysis groups and default projects.
It can be useful to use a suitable client template when you are setting up a new client. The new client will be populated with settings in the client template. This can save you time and can help you to keep your data consistent across the system.
Note: You can't apply a client template to an existing client. You can only apply a template when you are setting up a client.
Before you begin setting up client templates, you should have finished setting up the project templates you need.
Typical projects in an accountancy practice are Bookkeeping, Consultancy, Audits and Taxation. These can be set up in a client template, which you can use to set up new clients. The projects will be set up in new clients automatically.
