Finding and Applying SMTP Settings
This topic explains how you can find and apply some of the information that may be needed for e-mail warning setup.
These instructions assume that mail is installed on the web server using Outlook Express.
Steps in Outlook Express
- Open Outlook Express.
- Select the Tools - Accounts menu option.
- Select the account with the type mail (default), and click the Properties button.
- Select the Servers tab.
- The value in Server Information – Outgoing Mail (SMTP) corresponds to the value to be entered in email host in the email warning setup. Make a note of this value as VALUE 1.
- Then select the Advanced tab.
- The value in Server Port Numbers – Outgoing Mail (SMTP) corresponds to the value to be entered in email port in the email warning setup. Make a note of this value as VALUE 2.
Steps in Sage Coretime
- Now open Sage Coretime.
- Open the Utilities view in the left-hand pane.
- Click the System Setup in the left-hand pane.
- Click Email Warning Setup in the left-hand pane.
- Enter VALUE 1 in the SMTP Host field.
- Enter VALUE 2 in the SMTP Port field.
- Click Submit.
