The Time and Expense tab in the System Options screen contains the information described in the table below.
After you make changes, click Submit. You'll then need to restart the world-wide web publishing service.
Item | Description |

No Time Entry before Post Date | If this option is selected, users will not be able to enter or edit time/expenses prior to the last posting date. |
Default Core Hours |
This is the default number of hours per week expected to be worked company-wide. If a core time is set for an individual employee, the employee hours value will over-ride this setting. |
Timesheet Increments |
This is the smallest unit with which time is measured. Example: Ray has recorded 25 minutes of time against a Project: 0900 to 0925. When this entry is submitted, the time entry is for 30 minutes (3 x 10 minutes). If the time recorded was 12 minutes, the entry would be for 10 minutes. |
Team Chart Times / Time Entry Bar | This is the time range that the Team Chart will display on screen. It also determines the time span of the piano bar in the time entry screen. |
Lunch Hr | This specifies a specific lunch hour to be applied to project time. |
Forbid overlap of time | When this option is selected, a user cannot enter two time entries that overlap. |
Time Entry - Default to Start of Day |
When this option is set to No, the default time for a new time entry is the current time. When it is set to Yes, the default time for a new time entry is the start of the current day. |

Use Mileage Tax Threshold | When this checkbox is selected, the mileage threshold is applied to mileage totals. |
Mileage Threshold Value | When this threshold is exceeded, the employee's mileage rate switches to the second rate. |
Mileage End Year Date | This date specifies the date of year end for the purposes to calculating mileage totals. |

Min No of search characters | For WAN time entry users, this sets the number of project code characters a user must enter in a time or expense entry before the system displays a list of matching clients and projects. |
