Rate Changer
The Rate Changer enables you to change employee charge-out rates and costs for time entries that have not yet been invoiced.
Only existing time entries are affected. This does not affect the employee's default charge-out rate(s), which will still be applied to new time entries.
- Open the Utilities view in the left-hand pane.
- Click Database Utilities in the left-hand pane.
- Click Rate Changer in the left-hand pane.
- The Rate Changer window opens in the main workspace. Specify the date range that encompasses the entries whose charge-out rate you want to change.

Use the Set to Value or Multiply by Percentage radio button to specify the new rate.
If a set value is used, ALL entries in the period selected will be changed to that value, irrespective of whether the project has an over-ride rate.
If a percentage is selected, ALL entries in ALL selected projects will change by the selected percentage.
- Select one of the Use Stored Rates radio buttons to apply employee or position costs, overtime costs or overtime rates currently specified in the employee details record.
- Use the Employee, Client, Activity and Work Type sections to specify the data that the rate change should apply to.
- Click Submit.
