Rate Changer

The Rate Changer enables you to change employee charge-out rates and costs for time entries that have not yet been invoiced.

Only existing time entries are affected. This does not affect the employee's default charge-out rate(s), which will still be applied to new time entries.

  1. Open the Utilities view in the left-hand pane.
  2. Click Database Utilities in the left-hand pane.
  3. Click Rate Changer in the left-hand pane.
  4. The Rate Changer window opens in the main workspace. Specify the date range that encompasses the entries whose charge-out rate you want to change.
  5. Use the Set to Value or Multiply by Percentage radio button to specify the new rate.

    If a set value is used, ALL entries in the period selected will be changed to that value, irrespective of whether the project has an over-ride rate.

    If a percentage is selected, ALL entries in ALL selected projects will change by the selected percentage.

  6. Select one of the Use Stored Rates radio buttons to apply employee or position costs, overtime costs or overtime rates currently specified in the employee details record.
  7. Use the Employee, Client, Activity and Work Type sections to specify the data that the rate change should apply to.
  8. Click Submit.
